Malaysia Trip Plan: 5 Days In 10 Pictures
We visited Malaysia — Kuala Lumpur(KL) for five days, from December 17 to December 21, 2022. We planned the entire trip ourselves and did not go through any travels. It was truly a scintillating experience as we got to see all the places such as Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower (Kuala Lampur Tower), Batu Caves Murugan Temple, Zoo Negara, KLCC Aquarium, Suria KLCC Mall, Bukit Bintang, Pavilion Mall, Court Hill Vinayagar Temple, Little India and ICity theme park.
Flight tickets:
Try to book the flight tickets at the earliest possible time, at least two months before. To book with Malaysian airlines, please check out malaysiaairlines.com. Other websites like Sky Scanner, Expedia, Makemytrip, Goibibo etc will be helpful as well. Some of the notable airlines in Malaysia include AirIndia, Indigo, Vistara, SpiceJet, GoAir, OmanAir, etc. It costed 1 lakh for four people with AirAsia for us, including both to-and-from tickets from Chennai.Visa:
Regarding visa, Akbartravels.com charge nominally, and they respond quickly as well. We spent 15,000 rupees totally(four persons) for Malaysia’s one-month visit visa. Now until December 31 2024, Visa has been waived for Indians by the Malaysian government.Hotel:
We booked a hotel called Day Hotel and Suites by Wyndham through booking.com. Please ensure that you book a hotel within the city limits of Kuala Lumpur so that the connectivity to other places will be good.Currency Exchange:
We did currency change at Midas Tours and Forex for about 45,000 rupees and got 2369 ringgits, and we used debit card for additional expenses. Note: Please do not do currency exchange at the airport as it is costlier; they will charge 10 to 12 percent extra when compared to other places.Must see attractions:
In Kuala Lampur, you should definitely visit Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower(Kuala Lampur Tower), Batu Caves Murugan Temple, Zoo Negara, KLCC Aquarium, Suria KLCC Mall, Bukit Bintang, Pavilion Mall, Court Hill Vinayagar Temple, Little India and ICity theme park. Ensure that you don’t miss the sky view from the observatory deck of KL Tower and the view from the 88th floor of Petronas twin towers. Apart from Kuala Lumpur, you have plenty of beautiful places in Malaysia, be it the islands in Malacca or the temples in Penang, etc.; they are equally nice as well.Restaurants:
You will find many Indian restaurants at a place called Brickfields; this place is called as Little India.Food and Transport App:
Grab app can be used to order food and book taxis in Malaysia. It can be used to order groceries as well. We also have Metro rail, mono rail available in KL.Best Time To Visit:
December to January and June to August are the best intervals to visit KL. Other seasons are off-peak seasons.Events App:
Klook App will help in booking the entry tickets to almost all events and places in Kuala Lumpur, be it the observatory deck at KL Tower or the 88th floor of Petronas Twin Towers, etc.Shopping Places:
